Frederick A Swai

Fredrick is the founder and CEO of CMTL Group, which he established in 2008 through the acquisition of Continental Movers.

Fredrick is responsible for all facets of the business and growth strategy, and has transformed CMTL into a leading logistics business and a vertically integrated logistics provider by offering transportation, storage, customs clearance, local and international relocation and records management services.

Fredrick has over 10 years of professional experience. Prior to founding CMTL Group in 2008, he worked in telecoms and banking for leading global companies such as Vodacom, Convergys and Scotia Bank. Fredrick holds a BA in Economics.

Chief Commercial Officer

Maryanne Massawe

Maryanne is the Chief Commercial Officer for CMTL Group, responsible for articulating the commercial strategy of the organisation and overseeing its execution across the Group.

She is also responsible for the Records Management business and oversees its development and operations. Maryanne’s background in Information Systems has been instrumental in the establishment of the state-of-art RM facility, envisioned to be the largest in Tanzania.   

Previously, Maryanne worked with PwC and Ernst & Young as part of the executive management team. She serves on a number of boards in the financial and mining sector. Maryanne holds a BA and MSc in Information Systems.

Memory Mavunda

Memory is the Chief Operating Officer for CMTL Group, currently overseeing all operational aspects for Clearing and Forwarding, Relocations as well as Warehouse and Distribution. Combined with her formal education and extensive experience, Memory has been instrumental in bringing a soft hospitality touch to the logistics business by concentrating on developing the brand, customer satisfaction and business development.  Since joining, she has created a strong operations team which has contributed to the growth and retention of our clientele base.

Memory has over 10 years of management experience in the hospitality industry; having held senior sales and marketing, guest relations and front-of-house positions in museums and the IHG brand of hotels in Southern and East Africa. This experience has been invaluable and has translated into delivering a high-performance culture.

Memory holds a BA in Business Administration.
