The International Association of Movers (IAM) is the moving and forwarding industry's largest global trade association. With more than 2,000 members, it comprises companies that provide moving, forwarding, shipping, logistics, and related services in more than 170 countries. Since 1962, IAM has been promoting the growth and success of its members by offering programs, resources, membership protections, and unparalleled networking opportunities to enhance their businesses and their brands.

This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. These principles are explained in more detail in the pdf Quality Management Principles.

Tanzania Freight Forwarders Association was established in 1979 in Dar Es Salaam, by a small group of Freight Forwarders who saw a need to meet the professional demands of its members. TAFFA is a member of FIATA, the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations. TAFFA has over 600 firms in membership at national level. The association’s interests and priorities are articulated by the Federation of East Africa Freight Forwarders Association (FEAFFA).

American Moving & Storage Association represents approximately 4,000 members, including interstate moving and storage companies, local movers, international movers plus industry suppliers and state association members. AMSA supports effective government regulations and policies that protect consumers while allowing members to provide quality service at compensatory prices, and we work to ensure that consumers understand the value of professional moving and storage services.

Cargo Connections was formed in the summer of 2014 by Rachel Humphrey, almost 15 years after starting her first company Universal Freight Organization (est. 2000) and then Project Cargo Network (est. 2010). Cargo Connections is an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified general cargo network offering a Restricted Representation policy, which means membership will be offered to a limited number of forwarders who offer air, sea and road freight services in each country

The Tanzania Truck Owners Association-TATOA is a voluntary business Association of Truck Owners involved in the Cargo Freighting business in and outside the United Republic of Tanzania emphasizing on Transit Transportation Trade facilitation within the SADC and Great Lakes region encompassing DRC (Katanga, North & South Kivu Provinces), Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, and South Sudan. Since its establishment in 2005 with only 25 members, TATOA has grown into a formidable Association of 962 committed members of the business community that foresee the road transportation sub-sector is becoming the number 2 contributor to the GDP
